Hi friends, I am Amit Ghosh. 'techno Amit' blog provides the latest tech news, tips and tricks about gadgets, software etc.
- TRAI new Year brings great gifts for TV and DTH customers. After much debate, the regulatory body has just come up with a new tariff for TV subscribers. The tariff will be effective from March 1, 2021. Earlier, customers were offered 5 free TV channels for 5 bucks (excluding tax). Customers will be able to enjoy up to 20 channels at a price after the new tariff is implemented.
- The Troy has also ordered that channels worth more than Rs. Subscribers can subscribe to these channels as standalone. All cable and DTH operators have given time for TRAI until January 5, during which they will have to provide details on their website.
2. From April this year, TRI introduced new rules for DTH and cable TV subscribers. The rule by which the customer was asked to pay the price of the channel they would like to see. However, customers were not satisfied with this rule. Because of the new rules, the cost of watching TV has increased significantly. And the main reason for this increase in cost was the change in Network Capacity Fee (NCF).
3. Customers now have to pay two charges according to TRAI's new rules. One NCF and two content charges (preferred channel). These content charges go to the TV channel broadcasters. Again, the NCF is the charge that is given to a DTH or cable operator to show the channel.
